Bust - William Shakespeare - Large
An imposing, hand-cast plaster bust of William Shakespeare, based on the celebrated portrait in the collection of Sir John Soane’s Museum, London.
Rich in sculptural detail, from Shakespeare’s flowing hair and finely modelled features to his elaborately ornamented Elizabethan dress, this substantial bust makes a striking centrepiece for a library, study or drawing room.
Individually cast in high-quality Herculite plaster in our workshop at Aylsham House, Norfolk, each bust is carefully finished by hand and lightly treated with linseed oil to bring out the fine detail of the sculpture. The contrasting ebony-coloured plinth lends the piece a striking, classical appearance.
A substantial decorative sculpture, equally at home in a traditional library, drawing room or contemporary interior.
